About us

AEA makes it a priority to remain up to date with international best practice and to apply the latest methodologies to environmental risk assessment.

AEA advises clients on the environmental hazards and potential risks associated with the production, use and disposal of chemicals. We have strong expertise in the field, including higher-tier environmental risk assessments. AEA has undertaken extensive reports for the Department of the Environment (DotE), particularly with respect to their environmental assessments performed on new and existing agricultural and veterinary chemicals for the Australian Pesticides and Veterinary Medicine Authority (APVMA), and industrial chemicals for the National Industrial Chemicals Notification and Assessment Scheme (NICNAS).

AEA has additionally worked with private companies providing regulatory advice and delivering tailored environmental risk assessments to support registrations of products in Australia and New Zealand.

AEA has a broad experience in the international chemicals programmes, including the OECD existing chemicals programme and the International Programme on Chemical (IPCS).
